Did you know that engagement season is typically between November to February?
In fact, the most popular day to get engaged is December 25!
Maybe it's the festive energy combined with all your loved ones around that sparks the idea of getting down on one knee and popping the big question:
Will you marry me?
So if you're planning to pop the question during the holidays (or know someone who might need a few tips!) here are a few do's and don'ts Chad and I have personally tried and tested that you might want to consider:
1. Don't panic!
Between all the preparations and holiday activities, it's ok if things don't go exactly as planned. It doesn't always have to be perfect (I promise). Just stay calm, go with the flow, and remember that the most important part of the proposal is actually asking the question!
2. Do ask for help.
A smooth proposal consists of many factors, and that includes who you involve when you're in the planning phase so the surprise doesn't get spoiled. Get a friend to help document the special moment. Ask your partner's sibling, mom, or close friend what your significant other may want!
3. Do enjoy!
No matter what kind of proposal you plan, take the time to soak it all in. Revel in your special moment together and celebrate with your loved ones! Marriage is a beautiful commitment that you're now embarking on together.
There's no one-size-fits-all guide to proposing since every relationship is different. So take your time and don't forget to savor the moment.
